I've been playing chess since age 5. I'm a big fan of the gambits: Albin Counter Gambit, Blackmar-Diemer Gambit, etc. Against 1. e4 I like the Latvian Gambit which guarantees pyrotechnics...Sometimes I'll play the Dragon or Najdorf for a change. You can usually expect 1. d4 if I have White, attempting to lure you into the Blackmar-Diemer Gambit, which is supposedly "unsound", but I win a lot of games with it). If I do play 1. e4 it will most likely be King's Gambit and if you respond with the Sicilian Defense, I'll probably play the Wing Gambit. If I'm really feeling crazy, I'll play the amazing Jack o Lantern Attack, that's taken its share of online scalps. In my youth, I played correspondence chess for Team Canada against West Germany in the early 1980's. The high point of my chess career was a total fluke, when I defeated the late, great GM Sammy Reshevsky. He actually died during our postal game and I won by default. My favourite players are Fischer, Kasparov and Morphy, in no particular order.
