My name is gimmeApawn aka Checkmate Mark on twitch.tv! I learned how the pieces moved when I was in the 3rd grade. Then in 6th grade I started taking chess as my elective class. A few months after that I was asked to join the chess team. I played until 2011 when I graduated to High School. Unfortunately, I took for granted my chess life. I pushed it aside until I was much older. It was when I was 22 years old that I realized I missed out on so many things because I had stopped playing chess. Here I am, trying to get back to a game I have always loved.
