I love chess. | I am a 1.d4-player. | My favorite defenses are on *1.e4 c6 *1.d4: NID and the like *1.c4: Reversed Sicilian Four Knights *1.Nf3 d5 2.c4 d4, 2.g3 Bg4 | Plus there are some other defences I like to throw in against certain opponents... :P For example, the French, the Slav, the QGA, the QGD, and 1..d6 systems. BTW, I am not really fond of the so-called system openings, playing the same setup game by game regardless of the opponent's moves. | As for the FIDE Elo of 2044, I am highly underrated. (200+ points). I happened to screw up a tournament a few years ago, where a low initial rating, received in July 2007, originates from, and I continue not to have many opportunities to play rated OTB games in individual tournaments. (Only about 20 times a year). Besides, the K-factor is stuck at 15... :-( So it will probably be years until the rating matches the play. || I don't use a computer aid for analyzis during games, but I do use databases (correspondence, OTB) for the opening part of my games. | If I suspect you are cheating, I will analyze the game with an engine when we finish, and will report you if necessary, plus block you for good. | I am here to improve analyzing skills and to practise favorite openings. || You can drop me a line if you are from the neigborhood. || http://www.bloglines.com/public/hoemberchess || Also drop me a line to share your chess RSS feeds.
