I used to play chess quite often with my friends, and we even went to a state tournament once where I was trounced by other juniors. Now, many years later, the I got the urge to play again, and have been happily playing since January 2009. I like playing every game out to the bitter end, to get the most learning out of a game. When I'm winning it's a chance to use my skills, and when I'm losing it is still a very instructive experience (I hate it when a book ends some line by saying "and the rest is technique"). I know many people dislike those who don't resign, but I hope they will be understaning.
One of my favorite things about chess.com is the community here! I'm an admin for the Chess Warriors group, and have run across some great people there.
Also, I'm terrible at writing profiles. But also friendly.
