Occupation: VLBA Telescope Operator

USCF Rating: 1230

About Me:
I work with the VLBA as a telescope operator. I'm also going to school part-time to get a degree in Math (I already have one in Physics). In addition to chess, I enjoy anime, J-Pop, J-Drama (I'm pretty much obsessed with all things Japanese), science fiction, gaming (video, tabletop, and pen/paper RPGs), and Belly Dancing. Mainly, I'm a Doumbek (a type of drum) player for my school's Belly Dance troupe, but I've also recently begun learning how to dance, as well.

My Chess Style / Favorite Openings:
I love to play the White side of a King's Gambit. However, I'm now trying to learn more about the positional side of chess. I hope to play in more Chess Tournaments (I've been out of the loop for a few years), but unfortunately, NM only has a few tournaments throughout the year.

NM Memorial Tournament (Part III)

Submitted by omnipaul on Jan 25, 2008 12:38pm.

As promised, here are my games from Rounds 3 and 4 from the NM Memorial Tournament last weekend. In Round 3, I played an unrated player.  Checking up on his performance in the previous 2 rounds, I could tell he was probably a relatively sol...Read more »
