Have played chess seriously since 2011 and am learning to cope with the incredible frustrations of this amazingly complex game, and occasionally experiencing the 'highs' of some good wins. I enjoy browsing the forums and reading up on the interesting people found there, and their views, which provides a lot of entertainment - comparable to one big, squabbling family at times! My aim is to reach a rating of 2000 but I am acutely aware that it will need some serious and devoted chess theory study to reach that milestone. I own and run a small bookshop, and enjoy the pleasure of meeting fascinating people on a daily basis. I enjoy art, an occasional glass of good red wine, and a good Cuban cigar. Recent smokes have been a Romeo y Julieta 'No.1', Partagas 'De Luxe', Cohiba 'Siglo 1' and I anticipate enjoying a gift of an H.Upmann 'Coronas Minor' quite soon.
