About Me:
After chess, I'd have to say that what I love most is writing (fiction and poetry). After that, music (singing/songwriting and playing the guitar/electric bass). After that, ping pong. I'm sorry, table tennis. After that...well, you get the point. I'm a busy guy. I've been playing seriously for about three years, and I've been studying hard for the better half of one. I love the artistic, creative feel of the game -- how things have been laid down by past masters, while novelties are created every day. I think of myself as a resourceful attacker. I can play pretty well without my queen, thanks to do-or-die lessons from my dad. I idolize Bobby Fischer, Garry Kasparov and Josh Waitzkin (in Fischer's case, not the man, but his genius).
