About Me:

Ive played chess on and off since I was around 6 or 7 years old, but didn't really start taking it seriously until March 2008.  By seriously, I mean actually reading books on the subject, studying openings, practicing tactics problems, etc.

The two things I think that help the most with improving your chess game are tactics practice and reading books!

My Chess Book Collection:

My System - New Translation (Aron Nimzowitsch)*
Chess Praxis - New Translation (Aron Nimzowitsch)
Reassess Your Chess - 3rd Edition (Jeremy Silman)*
Reassess Your Chess Workbook (Jeremy Silman)
The Amateur's Mind (Jeremy Silman)*
Silman's Complete Endgame Course (Jeremy Silman)*
The Life and Games of Mikhail Tal (Mikhail Tal)*
Winning Chess Tactics - Revised (Yasser Seirawan)*
Forcing Chess Moves (Charles Hertan)
Chess: 5334 Problems, Combinations, and Games (Laszlo Polgar)*
