Like many of you, I started learning and playing when I was very young. Unfortunately I would find myself dropping in and out of the Chess world. I'd get serious, then put the game on the back-burner. As a result, I've never really reached my true potential.
I re-committed myself earlier this year when, after a long lay-off, I played and beat several people that always had beaten me on a regular basis in the past. I became encouraged as a result and resumed playing.
Recently I dug out my old copy of Chess-master 5500, only to find out that it would not play on Windows XP. Discouraged, I did a Google search and found this site.
I realize I just got here, but I feel very comfortable on this site. There are so many resources to learn from. I look forward to meeting and playing with as many of you as possible.
