I calculate probabilities for government and teach theoretical foundations of statistical inference at university.   In my free time I like to compose chess problems. My favorite chess players are Howard Staunton, Mikhail Botvinnik, Tigran Vartanovich Petrosian, and Leonid Stein. I almost always play hypermodernist positions, especially English Openings. Against 1.e4 I only play French and Sicilian variations.
