ANIMAL EXPERIMENTS PART ONE

In 1975 an undercover reporter exposed how Beagles were locked in stocks and forced to inhale smoke to test an allegedly safe cigarette.In one experiment researchers cut holes in their throats and forced them to smoke concentrated smoke for a year.Beagles are still being used for animal testing in their thousands.Tobacco testing on Dogs and other animals has now been banned since 1997,but Beagles are still being forced to endure other formes of vicious testing.They are still having face masks strapped on in tiny cages,forced to inhale weed killers,pesticides and other toxic substances.Sadly their small size and docile temperment continue to make them prime candidates for experimentation.And the worst news is that the British Government has approved a giant new puppy farm from where Beagles will be bred specifically for animal experimentation.Testing toxic substances on Beagles is hypocriticle and cruel.It is bad science and also unnecessary and the new Beagle factory threatens to open the floodgates to yet more experiments on these magnificent creatures.Investigations by the National Anti-Vivisection Society have revealed the shockingly crude and unscientific reality of the tests:chemicals accidentally pumped into Dogs lungs,puppys force fed weed killer which has been on sale for twenty years,tests conducted after human trialsbegan.These tests are fundamentally flawed due to differences between Dogs and Human physiology-chocolate,grapes and Human medicenes such as Ibuprofen are safe for Humans,but are potentially harmful to Dogs.
