it's obviously morphy but people will just vote on their favorite player anyway

I believe it is wrong to study Fischers games as beginner. His calculations are to deep and it is for a beginner not easy to understand hins moves. The best is to study the games of Morphy. Fast piece development and clear tactics. Here was Morphy his opponents far superior. And this is, what beginners have to learn. Bring your pieces out faster than your opponent. Castle to save your king and then, if your opponent is behind in development (maybe because of many pawn-moves), the start your attack.
This is of course an easy thinking, but this is all you have to know as a beginner. Analyse the games of Morphy and you will become a better player. :-)
