12teen and LittlePlotkin Crowned Bughouse World Champions!

After a long delay, the final of the Bughouse World Championship has finally been played — and we have our champions: 12teen and LittlePlotkin!

I want to start with an apology — the final match happened without prior announcement. Unfortunately, the participants decided to play without notifying me, so I couldn't advertise or stream the game live. Thankfully, Chuck Moulton was in the loop and managed to record the full match. I reached out to Chuck for a quick recap of how the match unfolded, and here’s what he had to say:

"12teen + Plotkin started with an early lead. They were up on time most every game on Chicken + Zyxon and were able to chess their way to some victories when losing on one board by stalling. Even though the score looked lopsided, many of the games were very close. Chicken + Zyxon took a few wins off 12teen + Plotkin, but it looked like 12teen + Plotkin were cruising their way to victory. Near the end of the match Chicken + Zyxon won three games in a row and it looked like they had found their stride. It was too late by that point though, and 12teen + Plotkin got a couple more wins to secure the match. Everyone played well and viewers can learn a lot by looking at the games and their playing styles."

Congratulations once again to 12teen and LittlePlotkin for a well-deserved championship win! And hats off to ChickenCrossRoad and Zyxon for a thrilling final and great sportsmanship.
