Dear team members,
I am glad to announce that we are now over 200 members. It was even quicker than expected so, first of all, welcome to all new members and secondly a big thanks to all of you who keep participating in the group.
I'd like to summarise what have been done so far and to all of you recently incorporated, a short introduction to the group / team.
As always, I'd like to remind you which can be a good starting point:
Chess960 RandomChess Forum Index
This index is available on top of our group forum and it surely will provide you a quick access to all the main features and activities that you can do in the group.
Chess960 Starting Positions Index, we have created threads to all the positions we are currently using in our team matches, vote chess games and tournaments. So far ~25 Starting Positions (~3% of the whole bunch) have the thread open.
We are just at the very beginning on this, but I believe that keeping the same pace we might cover all the SP in less than a 1.5 years. I invite you all to contribute actively in those fora. You can post your games, analysis, comments ...etc. to the corresponding Chess960 SP.
In the meantime, I am working in a DB (currently around 70k games, including Master, Computer and Amateur games) which I will do publicly available pretty soon, so you can use it to create your own games explorers and / or to help you on your Online Chess960 games.
We have been started a good number of Team Matches and vote chess challenges.
I am glad to anticipate that we have a decisive advantage in several of them ans that we still remain undefeated.
Now, we have currently open for registration one interesting team match against another team playing only Chess960:
Fischer Random vs Chess960 RandomChess (you are all invited to join there, specially high rated players as they haven't lost to anybody in Team match mode yet, which tells me it is going to be really hard to get a win there too)
Apart from playing in TM and vote chess games, from this group, we promote several Chess.com tournaments in Chess960 mode which of course, you are all invited to join:
Next March 30 we will start another tournament and more are coming (including Open and for beginners / experienced chess960 players)
