2022.08.19 Stream Update

I just uploaded the newest video (topic on FEN). No need for details on YT, but I'll give the "behind the scenes" details here

I was hoping this video would be posted Wednesday afternoon or Thursday. As my last club announcement said, I had some unexpected OBS streaming issues, but I thought it was my internet then...it wasn't. 

I'm honestly still not sure what the cause was, but the issue was the the OBS window capture (how I share screen) just didn't work anymore. I've changed nothing, but the screen remained black when it normally shows the chess.com tab I have open.

It took me hours of trouble shooting Wednesday and Thursday testing ideas, but none of them solved the problem. Late Thursday night, I had a "big brain" moment. I thought, if the chess.com page won't show (who knows why?), then maybe I can just share screen on a different tab and then just change tabs. lol. That simple loophole worked. xD

All I did was setup OBS to start streaming on my Twitch homepage and then I switch tabs (once the window capture starts working) to chess.com and close Twitch. Apparently, this loophole works, so even though I never "solved" the problem, I found a workaround, so I can keep posting new videos

As that worked, I recorded the video topic (which I already had planned since Monday or Tuesday) Thursday night and now it is about 1:30 AM (est) Friday here. Glad I got the video completed though; hope writing FEN helps others as much as it was useful for me
