2022 Medieval War Information
In a land far far far away, there was a continent, filled with many kingdoms. These Kingdoms were all in war with each other, until peace was finally brought to the land, with the start of the League of Kingdoms, an organization with officials from all across the land participating. Even though they seemed powerful, they lacked control over the kingdoms. Many small skirmishes started between kingdoms. One notable one was the Elmo-Barney war, which sparked chaos all over again. There were shortages of food and materials everywhere. This time, nobody could bring peace into the land. Centuries later, magical wizards found the continent and luckily spread peace again throughout the land. But now, to this day. Tensions are rising. Armies are mobilizing. Can you survive with your kingdom?

A maximum of 81 Clubs will be on the map at a single time, however, more clubs can try to compete to get on the map making this the largest Club Wars event of all time.

For this event clubs are welcomed to use any club vs. club format available on chess.com. The list includes,

The time control is all up to the battling clubs to decide. You may also agree on other formats with the opposing team, such as the rating limits of who gets to play etc...
This Event will last for a full year, starting in January. You do not have to play the full year
Your club must have a minimum of 50 Members to compete in this event.

Registration
To Register Post the link to your club as well as your club’s ‘Logo’
This Logo will be your club’s logo for this event during the remainder of the year whether or not your actual club’s Logo changes. You need not use your current Logo, but may use a logo you had in the past or will have in the future.
(THREAD WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE END OF NOVEMBER)
After posting your club’s medieval logo and link you have one more step to get registered. Choose a territory on our map (below) that is touching another club’s territory. If you are the first to sign up you must choose a territory on the outer edge of the map
After you claim the territory you own it and your club’s medieval war logo will be there shortly. You are now ready to start challenging.

Starting a Battle
When starting a battle you must contact the Owner of the club you wish to attack (Only may attack clubs touching yours either on a side of diagonally) as well as a staff member of the Club Wars Medieval Team, which is @rohithbala or @GradyW15925267.Once you agree on the format of the battle (Vote Chess, Live Match etc…) and the Club Wars team gives the all-clear signal,you may start it.
After the match is created you just need to post the link in the Medieval War thread and your battle is on!

Stealing squares (Territories)
Two clubs can be attacking the same club at once. If this happened and one of the clubs take the enemy the other club that was battling the losing club will have lost its chance and that match is now null. The first to win any opponent on the map gets the square and a club must remake the battle against the new club that owns the territory.

Losing your last territory
In the event that you lose all your territories (either at the very beginning or later on in the war) you are not out of the game, you and your empire (Club) are still alive, you just need a home.
At this point you may only get back on the map by attacking any territory that is occupied along the outer edge of the map. If a club that is not on the map challenges a club on the outer edge of the map the club on the outer edge cannot decline the challenge. If they do, that club will be removed from that territory and the challenging club will have won a territory.

All Territories Claimed
At some point during the War all the territories on the map will be owner by new clubs fighting for control. Once this happens new clubs will not be able to just claim territories when joining, they must attack a territory on the outer edge of the map just like a club that is trying to get back onto the map.

Abandoning Territories
In some cases Club leaders may want to abandon a territory to keep their empire safe. If a team leader wishes to abandon a territory (namely an outer edge territory that can is constantly being attacked) they can do this by leaving the territory and moving into a territory they already own that is touching the abandoned territory by at least one side (or diagonal)
When a club territory is abandoned and joins one of its other territories that territory has two lives now.
If a club attacks this territory it will have to be beaten two times instead of one. It doesn’t have to be the same club that beats this super territory. One club could beat it and bring it down to 1 life, then another club could finish it off and claim the territory.
Who gets the abandoned territory? Club Leaders may only abandon a territory if the territory is being attacked by another club leader. The club territory that was attacking will claim the abandoned territory.

Multi-Territory Battles
To host a Multi-Territory battle in which more than two clubs are fighting for the territories a multi-club arena is the format used.
A maximum of 9 clubs can be in a multi-territory battle.
All territories in the battle must be touching the territory that is hosting the battle (ie; the territory that made the challenge)
The winning club in the Multi-Territory Battle claims all territories that were in the multi-territory battle

Points
Points will be earned for the Club Wars League Leaderboard for each square won.
The first 81 Clubs to join the event will be able to claim a territory without fighting a club for it, these clubs will automatically earn 2 Rating Points on the Club Wars League Leaderboard. After this all conquered territories earn another 2 Rating Points.
If your club is joining after the first 81 have joined you will not earn 2 Rating Points until you have won a territory from the outer edge of the map.
At the end of the year the teams with the most territories will win.
1st. 30 League Points
2nd. 20 League Points
3rd. 10 League Points
This does not include those points earned during the year from all the battles that the clubs did.
