2022 SPFNO $100k Scholarship winners!

From October 22-23, the Washington Chess Federation partnered with Susan Polgar Foundation to organize the 2022 Susan Polgar Foundation National Open for Girls & Boys at the Marriott Hotel in Bellevue, WA.

The event was a great success with over 400 participants battling out over two days of hard fought chess games. This was one of the largest tournaments WCF & SPF organized in recent times.

**Drum Roll** The 2022, $100,000 scholarship winner to attend Webster University are Krisha Khandelwal and National Master Daniel Shubin (both of them pictured with GM Susan Polgar). Congratulations to both of you. 

Webster University alumni includes GM Wesley So, GM Ray Robson and GM Lê Quang Liêm.

Chess.com City Ambassador for Seattle WFM Chouchanik Airapetian and yours truly were present throughout the event promoting the growth of chess. 

WCF & SPF would like to thank all the volunteers who made the event run very smoothly. Without the volunteers, running a 400+ players tournament would have been impossible. So thank you again!
