The Colorado Springs Chess Club will hold another event at Petrie's in April, and we will test out our first OTB qualifier in April for the 2025 City Quick Chess Championship in November.  These will be unrated events.  So, anyone can play!


 


In May, the Sheridan Chess Association is making some big changes to the Sheridan Wyoming Open.  See details below.

2025 Wyoming Community Foundation Open


We’re excited to announce that, due to a generous donation, the 2025 Sheridan Wyoming Open is now called the 2025 Wyoming Community Foundation Open. Same great tournament and same great town with a great new name!   The tournament this year will be held Friday, May 2 to Sunday, May 4. Elite Division plays Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday. The other three divisions (<1800, <1400, and <1000) play Saturday and Sunday.   This year we have a guaranteed purse of $9,000!
