2025 - Our most successful year yet!

As 2025 draws to a close, I am delighted to be able to report on Herefordshire Worcestershire Shropshire's most successful season since we have been competing. We now have the largest number of members in our history with 76 of you contributing in matches this season.

The year got off to a great start with our first ever trophy as we held off Saxony and Kent in the final group stage to lift the 2024 European Inter Regional Grand Prix title.

We then followed that up by going 9/9 to win the 2025 County Championship.

Our U1600 team won Division 4 of the U1600 County Championship league and will play in Division 3 for the first time next season. 

Our U1300 team is currently top of Division 4 of the U1300 County Championship league. The match between the 2nd and 3rd placed teams (Kent and Devon) is still undecided but Kent look to have a big advantage and assuming they close that out we will win the Division and be promoted to Division 3.

Finally, we have reached the final of the 2025 County Cup. We are playing Inverness in our largest ever match. We are currently slightly behind but have ratings advantages on a majority of the remaining boards so have every chance of clinching a League and Cup double.
