3rd 24h MCA Masters: Gold for 3 CHECK FUN

3 CHECK FUN wins the 3rd 24h MCA Masters followed by Glory for Red Green and The Globetrotters.

Yesterday's Arena had an unforeseen minor issue: As both previous Masters Arenas it was set up with a minimum of 25 games (for an unknown reason Chess.com doesn't show all Arena parameters to club admins or players). Several players mentioned, that they couldn't join the Arena, which may be related to this parameter (perhaps other than in daily chess 960 games are counted separately ...). This parameter was intended to create a minor advantage, finally it looks to be more like an obstacle: Future Arenas won't have this hidden parameter any longer.

These seven clubs (1WL LIVE tournaments doesn't count) secured their spots and will play in the 4th 24h MCA Masters, which will be a Blitz Arena on Saturday, November 18.

Chess.com has broken the access to the 3rd 24h MCA Open roughly 26 hours before its start: Demanding some information, help or support stayed – as usual – without any concrete answer. The broken Arenas has been shown as an upcoming event in the list of all participating clubs. No one could join and finally the Arena simply disappeared at the scheduled start time. In case of repetition we'll try to set up an Arena with a slightly modified name: Hope, this will help reducing the impact of Chess.com's chronic unreliability on our activities. 

icy's gang, Elysium Chess club and Oracles (the 4th to 6th placed clubs from the 2nd 24h MCA Open) will join the 4th 24h MCA Masters, while all other clubs can register for the 4th 24h MCA Open.

MCA Masters and Open Arenas are a test series to prepare future seasonal and divisional Championships with thirteen 24 hour Arenas per season on Saturdays, which will hopefully start with the 1st 24h Winter Masters on December 23.
