960 Chess Needs Additional Admins
There are times when our club cannot respond fast enough to messages and announcements for Team Match Championship 960 league, two TCMAC 10+ and 5+ leagues, and regular non-league challenges, because due to family matters, and life matters, our SAs are not available to deal with issuing the challenges, checking messages and then challenge parameters to accept challenges, in a timely manner. The typical timeline for league matches is 10 - 15 days from announce to start.
Example: TMCL960 matches announced late Mar 3, Challenges may be sent 4th thru 8th, Acceptance of challenges must be by the 8th so registration can begin on the 8th for the match to begin March 14 10 pm London time. TCMAC times are slightly longer. So if we receive a challenge on Mar 4th and do not respond in time for the registration to Open March 8 - we lose the round and get a Strike (two Strikes and our club is kicked out of the league for two years). If we don't Challenge right away and post the challenge Link to have it approved -- then we lose valuable time attempting to register enough players to meet the minimum 10 players per match. If the match opens for registration with bad set up parameters / we have to cancel and start over with a new challenge. If everything goes well the best case scenario is the match challenge/ review of parameters / acceptance /posting are completed by March 5, we have 9 days to raise a team roster. Rules require match to be opened Mar 8 so there is 1 week to raise a team.
So we need Admins to train and help out. We need one Admin to train per each of the 3 leagues. If we receive six offers to help then that will be two helpers per league with our club SAs as backups.
Let me know if you can help.
