Alabama Grand Prix Starts this Saturday!

After Thursday I will not be accepting any more registrations for the first event! If you are unsure if all six tournaments will work with your schedule, just sign up for one at a time! Each tournament is stand alone.
The most unique tournament in Alabama history begins Saturday! An online, six-tournament Grand Prix where points can be obtained towards an invite to a single-elimination, matchplay invitational online championships is happening now! As the state board, we want to turn 2020 around in 2021 by offering the 2021 Alabama Chess Grand Prix!
There are three sections, Premiere (1800+), Challenger (1200-1800), Adepts (<1200) So everyone has a group there can win!
This tournament carries much prestige. Not only are we offering prize funds and trophies, but those who do well in the event will get a chance to play chess in a way never done before in Alabama in the Grand Prix Finals (a single-elimination matchplay invitational). The competition will be steep, but the rewards have never been sweeter.
The first tournament is Saturday, January 23rd! Events will take place once monthly with your top 5 tournaments will be used to determine if you qualify for the invitational finals to be held in July. You can sign up for select events or sign up for all tournaments at a discount! Make sure you are also a registered ACF member and a resident of the state as of 1/1/2021 to participate in the event.
