AN Update

Long time, no news posted.  It is becoming increasingly hectic as we progress towards the end of the school year.  Another reason for a lack of communication is the inability to access Chess.com at school because a new server or some such computer network internet thing.  Alas, good news is that we did win our 1st team match with Washington High School.  It would be more accurate to say we outlasted them as the 'time outs' hit them harder than us.  Well, a learning experience in that if you are in a team match you need to check on line regularly and when making a move, be sure to hit the submit key so the move is sent.  In the other match with the Idaho Spud fans, well we are behind but all hope is not lost as it is still possible to catch up.  We can outlast the best of them!  Also in the good news category, rankings were updated and posted and our last set of rankings for the school year will be posted on May 30th.  We also are looking to add some chess equipment this summer and to expand our involvement in classes in utilizing chess to assist in student learning.  Keep in touch via this web site and e-mail with other chess players this summer.
