Another Draw in So-Malakhov Match
In the second game Malakhov opened with 1.Nf3 and later transposed into a Slav Defense. What is interesting is that GM So played the variation that GM Malakhov himself played in the Rapid Games of Round 3.
GM So managed to open the position in the Queenside but GM Malakhov played accurately and equalize.
The game is already drawish when the Queens are exchanged but GM So still tried some complications that brought the game into an interesting Rook & Knight vs Rook & Bishop endgame.
GM So was enyoying a very marginal lead when the two agreed with drawn game.
They will play the 4 Rapid Games (25-minutes) tomorrow wherein GM So has the psychological advantage owing to his triump against GM Guseinov with 3-0 in the 1st Round.
