April 1st Custom Shuffle Variant Tournament 1 Pairings/Format
Thanks everyone for joining :D We've got 8 people, so we're going to try to start up tournament 1 which is going to be a 7 player round round robin
where each person plays each other person once in a random variant game :D
The following pairings have been randomly rolled for it :D/ let me know if you're in the club and don't want to play in tournament 1.
If you're white it's up to you to set up the match up, but if you're black, you may challenge your opponent also to it, to get it going.
All games for these events are going to be unrated on chess.com/but we're going to have our own rating/point system for these tournaments :D
Players are going to start with a base rating of 5000 and gain/lose points based on how they do against their opponents.
The rating chart for how that works is at the bottom of this/forfeit wins and losses where a game's never started
won't count towards rating but any other game that gets played will.
You have until the end of the week (3/31) to set your games for this tournament up/
let me know if you've challenged an opponent and they didn't accept or set up the game right/

To set up a challenge/game using a pgn/fen:
1. Go to the Play tab. Hit Create Game and type in your opponent's name
while selecting Custom Position/Odds on the drop down menu instead of Standard Position.
2. Select 5 days per move as a time control then
and instead of having it be auto balance, hit the drop down menu and select FEN and copy and paste the FEN
for the game type that you have been rolled to play against them in the tournament :D
The pgn/fens for variants are listed in the public/private club description
and you can set up a match using one
by copy and pasting the fen/pgn from there, into the challenge you make while selecting custom position :D

"Variant Ultimate Master": Achieved if a player hits a rating of 9500+
"Variant Grand Master": Achieved if a player hits a rating of 9000+
"Variant International Master": Achieved if a player hits a rating of 8500+
"Variant National Master": Achieved if a player hits a rating of 8000+
"Variant Candidate Master": Achieved if a player hits a rating of 7500+

Rating Floors: 6000, 6500, 7000, 7500, 8000, 8500 & 9000. Any player who hits these as a rating can't have their rating go below them then.
