Beyond Calculations: The Strategic Planner's Workshop
Dear Chess Friends!
Knowing what to do next in chess isn’t always about calculation, but rather about having a plan. The ability to evaluate a position, choose a direction, and organize your next few moves around a clear idea is what separates strong players from the rest. Even the best-looking moves can lead nowhere without the plan. With a good one, you can steer the game toward long-term success. even in equal positions.
This Sunday, I invite you to a new workshop “Plan in a Chess Game,” where I will explain how to think ahead strategically and transform your positional understanding into purposeful action.
๐ Date: 08/10
โฐ Time: 11 a.m. EDT, 4 p.m. UK time, 5 p.m. CET
During this session, you’ll learn:
- How to evaluate any position based on structure, piece activity, king safety, and control
- How to convert that evaluation into a meaningful goal: attack, simplification, blockade, or central dominance
- What makes a good plan: a combination of short-term steps and long-term vision
- How to coordinate strategy and tactics and stay flexible when the position shifts
Why should you attend?โ
Sometimes playing a “good move” is not enough. You need a reason behind it — a plan that brings your pieces together with a shared purpose. This workshop will help you in this as I'm going to give you a structured method to evaluate any position and build a realistic, evolving plan.
I look forward to helping you turn your ideas into direction.
