Bitcoin Chess960 Championship Online Event Qualifiers on January 11
Dear Chess960 fans,
We're excited to invite you to another great opportunity to compete and have some fun:
Prospera is organizing an online Chess960 Championship event with a 10.5M satoshis prize pool!
The tournament has several stages, including four Pre-Qualifiers and one Final Qualifier.
Pre-Qualifiers, for non-titled players only, will be on January 11 at four different times, every three hours in the Prospera club:
- Pre-Qualifier 1: 6:00 a.m. ET / 12:00 CET - Join the event here.
- Pre-Qualifier 2: 9:00 a.m. ET / 15:00 CET - Join the event here.
- Pre-Qualifier 3: 12:00 p.m. ET / 18:00 CET - Join the event here.
- Pre-Qualifier 4: 3:00 p.m. ET / 21:00 CET - Join the event here.

Event format:
- 11-round Swiss
- Chess960 variant
- The time control will be 3+2
- Standard Swiss tiebreaks
- 6-minute break after rounds four and eight
- Draw offers are not permitted until after Black's 40th move
- Moves are broadcast on a 15-second delay on a dedicated page on Chess.com/events
- The Top 10 of each Pre-Qualifier are eligible to play in the Final Qualifier on January 18

Additional details:
- Players may compete in multiple qualifiers, but are ineligible to play once qualified.
- Players are not required to play using Proctor for the qualifiers. Our standard Fair Play detection will be in effect for the qualifiers. Chess.com will conduct an additional manual review after the qualifiers have completed to ensure a fair playing environment..
- Upon completion of our review, Players found in violation of the Fair Play Policy will have their accounts closed, and the standings will be adjusted accordingly.
- After the Fair Play review is complete, Chess.com will contact qualified players to confirm they have qualified and inform them of the requirements for the online Final.
