Welcome to Blog Bowl IX!

Let's make some noise for our two finalists as they enter the blogging arena!
Representing the South-Western conference, coming from Brazil, Leticia is a judo black belt and a passionate chess blogger, born on 29 September 1993. This is not her first time competing, as she shocked everyone by advancing to the Blog Bowl as a new blogger in Season 8. It took her a lot of time and dedication to get here, so let's cheer for our beloved @PokeGirl93!

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
On the opposite part of the stadium, representing the North-Eastern conference, we have a blogger from the other side of the world - Odessa. As a professional chess player, she finds time to share her chess achievements and stories around the world with her blog. She started her journey in Season 7, each time getting closer and closer to her goal - until finally standing here in the big stage. Give a hand to @Alina_Bakhtina_24!

THE GAME
It’s time for the game! Let's wish good luck to both competitors, and may the strongest win!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
@PokeGirl93 did not disappoint her fans and wrote an amazing blog about the history of chess in Poland, the country of her grandparents! With some in-depth research and great writing, she tells us the whole journey of our beloved game in the Polish lands. Obviously, as one of the biggest events on the planet, the Blog Bowl also has a halftime show worthy of its magnitude. A round of applause for Björn Skifs.
Back to the game, the second half begins!
@Alina_Bakhtina_24 proved that this beautiful game is not limited to our planet, but that, like humanity, it has also already conquered space! RESULT
And who wins? I know you came here to find out! If not, then why did you read all the way to this sentence? Feel free to close the page! And for those who came here to find out the winner:
Well, this was an extremely difficult decision for us to make, so we decided that instead of having a blogger winning the prize, only the judges will be sharing it all! Yes, you heard it right: this is the first of 9 seasons where judges win! Let's congratulate:

@VOB96. Who would know that Vanessa will keep a part of her 25 dollars? She has done an outstanding job as a judge and as a coordinator at the same time, so she certainly deserves it!
@KevinChessSmith. The person who judged the most blogs in BlogChamps and The Blogger Awards 2.0! He is a judging expert, and he certainly deserves to share the prize!
@JustGettingThisOffMyChess. A truly lucky judge and blogger. After taking the prize in Season 7 he gets it again! Who knew being a judge is so profitable?
@nbrasington. A legend who took the silver in Season 4 and is an active judge and blogger up to this day. That is true dedication!
@NMChessToImpress. A national master, a chess coach, and 1 time Blog of the Month Winner - This person won in all aspects of chess and blogging, truly an inspiration!
@ChocoCaramelPawn. A bronze medalist in Season 8 and someone who likes talking about himself in third person.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
No, I am just kidding... The judges truly deserve recognition, but they are not getting the prizes! Or at least not this season.
After many sleepless nights of competition, headaches, and a great effort of judging, we have chosen the winner of Season 9. The lucky blogger who will take home the coveted Zachary Isaac Snow II Trophy, as well as the mega prize of $25 and a one-month premium membership, is:

And a message to the runner-up, whoever you are, because at the time of writing this, we don't know yet who won: you should be proud of your journey and how far you have come! There are a lot of amazing bloggers who were also silver medalists, like @SheldonOfOsaka, @alphaous, @nbrasington, @AstroTheoretical_Physics, and @VOB96. I really hope you both become Top Bloggers in the near future!
And to everyone who participated in this season, we hope you enjoyed the competition and had fun! Unfortunately, only one can win in the end, but you were all part of something great! We would love to see you all try again and come back even stronger in Season 10!

3) Who will be coordinating Season 10?
Everything will stay the same: I will be writing the announcements, and @VOB96 will be coordinating Season 10 overall and writing feedback forums.
