Breaking News Group Stage Results 25th July

The penultimate round of group matches were played and once again all 3 teams were in action. 
The results for the respective teams are:
Mx A vs. Leicestershire Mx win 7.5-2.5
Mx B vs. Berkshire Mx win 7-5
Mx u1825 vs. Oxfordshire Mx win 11-1 just missing a whitewash but setting a new margin of victory eclipsing Lincolnshire's 10.5-1.5 defeat of Leicestershire in the Open

Full match report to come however a cursory glance at the table suggests following:

MxA cannot win their division by virtue of head to head with Lincolnshire should Devon prevail against Lincolnshire and Middlesex as expected defeat Cheshire and North Wales. Devon and MxA are effectively playing for second and a SF pairing against Northumberland the runaway leaders of Open Division 1B.

MxB win their division with a game to spare and a SF clash against one of Cumbria or Somerset. A clash against Shropshire is possible but with Cumbria and Somerset playing each other in the final round of group stages and Shropshire playing table proppers Hampshire it is fair to say that it is a winner takes all match.

Mxu1825 are also group winners by virtue of their superior head to head record against Oxfordshire and Essex who face off in the final round. However Mxu1825 play Surrey who prop up the table so in all likelihood will will the division outright.

In short Mx have 3 teams through to the KO stage 2 of whom will be winners of their group.
