Bughouse World Championship – Open Bracket Stage Begins!
The group stage of the Bughouse World Championship – Open Class has concluded, and now it's time for the bracket stage to begin! The best teams from the group stage are now competing in a knockout format to determine who will claim the title.
New Match Format for the Bracket Stage
For this stage, the matches will be played in a first-to-X-wins format:
- Round 1 & Round 2: First to 20 wins
- Semifinals: First to 30 wins
- Finals: First to 35 wins
Match Scheduling & Reporting
- Once players have scheduled their matches, they must post in the scheduling forum to confirm.
- After a match has been played, the final score must be posted in the result forum, just as was done during the group stage.
Arbiter & Communication
ChuckMoulton will be the official arbiter for this stage. He will open chats on Chess.com with the players to assist in scheduling and coordination.
Match Deadlines
- Round 1 Deadline: March 16
- Round 2 Deadline: March 31
- Semifinal Deadline: April 16
- Finals Deadline: April 30
