Bullet Brawls Analysis

I was supposed to do analysis of all the bullet brawl games on monday, but I didn't have time. Thanks for the patience.

When I sat down at my computer at 2:50 PM, I thought that this would take at most 5 minutes. I was expecting maybe 3 of 4 challenges. What actually happened was that I got 10.

The show was a huge success. It was fun for everyone, and all people got to play. I ceded two draws, both to the highest-rated players in the event, mromanian and Beefstick.

In the first two games I played superdrewe53, who was playing his first bullet game.

superdrewe53 played quite good moves at a short time limit, but he needs to work on being faster. Yes, you may not play as accurate moves, but that's better than running out of time.

In the second game, Superdrewe53 played a bit faster, but his accuracy got much worse. Such things come with practice.

The next game was an exciting draw:

A piece of advice to TheSwegyWolf: Try to develop your pieces to squares where they control the center of the board. Trying for basic checkmates may work against some players, but against most, it will backfire against you.

On a last note, TheSwegyWolf, I really enjoy "Rondo on Argentine Children's Folk Songs" by Alberto Ginastera. It would be great if you could use it for your background music in the Bullet Brawl. Here are some good recordings:

This is probably the best.
