Canners lose to Gettysburg

The Biglerville Chess Team fell in its final league match of the season to Gettysburg 2 to 3.    Posting wins were Brian Hawthorn on board 1 and James Little on board 5.

The Canners swept the reserve boards.  Josh Brady, Jacob Martin,  Bennett Yohn and Jay Brennan each recorded victories.

The Canners finished the regular season with a respectable 4 wins 2 losses and 2 draws.  They sit alone in 2nd place and await the results of the New Oxford matches.  New Oxford beat Waynesboro on Thursday, but still face Gettysburg, Sherando and James Woods. 

The Canners travel to Shippensburg Friday for a non-league match against SHIP before league individual champions the following week and states in March.
