Changing Everything for Chess Universe
I’m going to start stepping up and being a better SA so the club can run more smoothly and be a better place for everyone. With that being said, there are going to be some clearer rules and expectations from now on, especially in live chat and overall activity.
First, live chat will now be monitored more closely. There will be no weird behavior, inappropriate comments, or any 18+ content allowed at all. This is meant to keep the environment safe, comfortable, and enjoyable for everyone. If anyone breaks this rule, you will receive a 3-hour mute as a first consequence. If the behavior continues after that, the mute will be extended to 6 hours. If it keeps happening, the punishments will continue to increase over time. Repeated rule-breaking will not be ignored, and stricter actions may be taken if necessary.
Second, activity in the club is very important. I want to make sure everyone is contributing and helping keep the club active. If you have not interacted with or contributed to the club in 20 days, you will receive a warning message from me in your DMs. This is just a reminder to start being active again.
After the first warning, you will have 5 days to show some activity. If there is still no response or participation, you will receive a second warning and be given another 5 days. If it reaches a third warning, you will then have 10 days to become active again.
Being active means participating in the club at least 1–2 times per week, whether that’s chatting, contributing, or being involved in any club-related activity. This isn’t meant to be harsh, but to make sure everyone is doing their part and the club stays alive and engaging.
If, after all warnings and extra time given, there is still no activity, further action may be taken. This could include removal from the club so that space can be made for more active members who want to participate.
Overall, these changes are being made to improve the club, keep things fair, and create a better experience for everyone involved. I appreciate everyone who stays active, follows the rules, and helps make this a positive community.
