Chess.com Android App | New Update (v.3.7.0)
Yaaay! Good news! After some time, we are excited to announce that a new version of our Android app is available (3.7.0) with great new features and many improvements. So as you can have an overview of all what changed, we have prepared a small summary for you:
IMPORTANT: This release is not yet available to everyone as we roll it out. However, if you want it NOW, become a beta tester and you'll always get the latest release!
New Arena Tournaments
You have been waiting for them for some time and they are finally here! From now on, you will be able to play the Titled Tuesdays, the Arena Kings and all the other Arena tournaments from your smartphone/tablet.
If you join an Arena, you will be able to see the Standings, the game and the tournament chat.
News!
Want to stay on top of what is happening in the chess world? Now, you will be able to do that from the app itself. News have arrived! Follow the Grand Chess Tour coverage, the latest controversy on the FIDE elections and much more...
With the new "News" feature, you won't miss a chess thing.
Other improvements:
Arenas and News were not everything! We also added a bunch of improvements:
- We improve translations and specially the way we handle right-left reading languages like Hebrew and Arabic.
- We updated our openings book so as it has all the information correctly displayed.
- We added an option in the settings so as users can remove piece magnification.
- And many other bug fixes...
