Cincinnati Tornado, July 1, 2023

The next Cincy Tornado will be happening on July 1st - once again at Friendship UMC, a site that boasts a nearby restaurant, a dedicated skittles/analysis room, and plenty of parking! As usual, the tournament will be four rounds, Swiss System, G/45;d5. Rounds start at 12:00, 2:00, 4:30, and 6:30, and entry is $35. Sign up at cincinnatichessclub.com and pay online to ensure you get a pairing for the first round, even if you're running late.

The open section pays $150 for first, $100 for second, $60 for top under 2001, $55 for top under 1801, and $50 for top under 1601. The under-1400 section pays $150 for first, $100 for second, $60 for top under 1201, $55 for top under 1001, and $50 for top under 801 or unrated. All prizes are 100% guaranteed!

With 40 people already entered rated from UNR to 2324, this Saturday is looking like it will be our biggest TORNADO ever. Thi$ i$ the large$t prize fund we have ever had and plan on increa$ing it when expen$e$ are met. Our last tornado gave out over $1000 in prizes. Alan Hodge will be our TD. Don't miss this tournament.
