Club Anniversary Coming Soon

JDL Chess was created on 1/28/22 and was originally called Vir est lupus - Latin for the man is a wolf, but someone on a vote chess match said that writing, " Latin for the man is a wolf" was like explaining a joke, so I changed it to Vir Est Lupus and then later to Vir Est Lupus Team. The inspiration for Vir Est Lupus was a werewolf (The man is a wolf, so he's a man-wolf AKA werewolf). Then one day I made a cool logo that said, "JDL CHESS" for my profile picture and it gave me the idea to change the club's name... again. The name was jdlCHESS. My initials are J. D. L., so I made the jdl lowercase and the CHESS all caps because it looked cool and chess is the whole point of the club. But jdlCHESS looked a little weird, so I changed it to JDL Chess. And spoiler alert: I'm thinking about changing the name back to Vir Est Lupus Team. But I want the whole club to decide, so we'll all vote on a name-change soon. 

Anyway, the point is the club anniversary is coming up and I want to do a lot of celebration matches (vote chess, daily, etc.). If you want (and you have the position to do so), you can schedule anniversary matches but I will already schedule a lot. I ask you to please join some of them. (You'll know that it's an anniversary match because it will say so in the description.

By the way, the gallery of club photos is coming soon. It will feature all of the club's past logos.

And while I'm at it, I might as well let you know that if you are a member of the club, you can tell me your birthday (@Judah_Locklear) and I will make a celebration match for you on that day. You don't have to of course.
