New Camp Week Added
We've added a new Foundations Summer Camp for July 27-31, 2026 on a first-come-first-served basis. Camp limit is 12, and the others sold out early this year. Register for summer camps online: https://columbiachess.org/camps
This Week's Club Events
5:15 p.m. Developmental Class K-8 (register)
6:15 p.m. Developmental Class HS-Adult (register)
4:45 p.m. Kid's Night
Suited for K-12 players who are new or rated under 1000, we offer a rated tournament with a medal to the winner, an unrated tournament for new players with a USCF membership to the winner, and free casual play.
Kid's Night Registration
6:30 p.m.: Quad Night! G/25+5. Quads place you in a group of four players as closely rated to you as possible, with three rounds to determine the winner. $20 Entry fee can win $40 ($45 for a perfect score). You must be registered by 6:20 p.m. to participate, so don't wait until it's too late!
Quad Night Registration
5:15 p.m. Developmental Class K-8 (register)
5:30 p.m. Quick 10+1: Three rounds of Quick 10+1. Accelerated pairings may be used.
6:30 p.m. FIDE Classical Month Week 3: This month's classical tournament is FIDE Rated in the upper section, 4-round G/60+15, requiring a FIDE ID (free)! Lower section USCF rated as G/45+5. Miss any week, join any week!
Main Meeting Registration
Tunnelvision XLIV Results!
Tunnelvision XLIV saw 45 players, including seven 2000+ rated players in the Championship section. The young Landon Meadors, in one of the most impressive performances in Tunnelvision history, finished with a perfect score and a new rating of 2164! Congratulations to all of our winners!

Weekly Results Corner
Kid's Night: 
Congratulations to Charlotte Jordan for winning the medal on tie breaks in her section, special shoutout to Robert Mareska for also going undefeated. Grayson Huffaker won the medal in his section on tie breaks over Navish Sindhi who also tied for first place! Honorable mention goes to Trevor Davis for winning a membership to US Chess as our unrated winner.

Spotlight on Columbia Chess Club student member Arnav Singh for breaking into the nation’s Top 100 among 13-year-olds in classical chess! A tremendous achievement earned through hard work, dedication, and countless hours of study and competition. We’re proud to have Arnav representing our community at such a high level!

The Columbia Chess Club travel team is available to all ages, without a rating requirement, provided the player has demonstrated themselves as committed to chess improvement and will be able to attend four of the travel tournaments on the schedule and represent the Club in a positive manner.
