Dan Heisman was a chess teacher in this area and he has written a bunch of books. His first wife passed away about 20 years ago. For the last 18 years he has run a charity event - the Holly Heisman Memorial to raise money for a fund he started in her name. The fund is for various women in need projects. I have been TD for the last 10 years or so and organized the last 5 or so. This year we are doing this as an online/zoom event on 12/12. We take any donation to play, though recommend one of $25.
