COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP 2025 OPEN LEAGUE DIVISION1 ROUND 2
Merry Christmas All. Positively my last announcement or post until the New Year. Hurrah!
CC Round 2 vs Surrey sees us back in action against opponents we comfortably defeated in the second round of the Knock Out Cup (17-8, with one game to finish). That was a great performance by TFS, one that I am confident we can repeat in the League. However, I expect Surrey to field a stronger roster this time around. They are a quality outfit, having finished in fourth place in the 2024 season.
With the 3rd round match against Dorset already underway (the doubleheader counting for both the League and the 3rd round of the Cup), the 4th round match is not until March. So, let's get another strong team out and aim to win all three of these rounds. We will face the mighty Kent and Lanarkshire in rounds 7 and 8, so we need to get points on the board.
