COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP 2025 OPEN LEAGUE ROUND 7 vs LANARKSHIRE

The Scottish derby match against heavyweights Lanarkshire. Division 2 champion in 2023, they narrowly lost out to Kent in their first season in Division 1 in an otherwise undefeated campaign. 

We played an early-season match against them in their guise as Glasgow, which we lost 13-19, a contest in which they took an early lead and never looked likely to lose the tie. In the CC this year, Lanarkshire have shown some fallibility. They are currently in 5th place (TFS are 4th), having lost heavily to this season's top dogs, Hereford, Worcestershire, and Shropshire. Wins notched up against Somerset and Buckinghamshire, two of the weaker clubs this season, but they trail in the other three matches in play. Signs of vulnerability?
