Daily Opening: English Opening

The English Opening is where white plays 1.c4. It controls the center using a wing pawn instead of a center pawn, which allows white to have flexibility. After  1.c4 black usually follows by 1. ...e5. This opening is just as good as the Sicilian defense and allows white to use those center pawns for other things instead of controlling the center. By the way, if white follows 1.c4 with 2.nc3, white doesnt have an edge or advantage, but has a strong position. I first saw this opening when I played SCS-AlanLin on chesskid.(I am SCS-JamesHan there.)
