DAY 34 OF THE HNYT: TILLBOY GETS SLAMMMED BY SLAMM20!

who has been in first place virtually the whole tournament was in complete control of this game until move 31 where he moved his Queen to b8
looking to attack Slamm20’s unguarded pawn on g3 with a check on the king!  Unfortunately for him Slamm20 had the momentum going his way plus better position as he checked Tillboy’s King with his Queen
 playing Queen to f3 check!  After successfully getting his King out of harm’s way, Tillboy five moves later played the dubious move of pawn to h5
??  Slamm20 shrugged his shoulders and said “thank you for the free pawn” with the move Queen takes h5
. This move now  allowed the Queen to take ownership of the h file plus it presented a double attack on Tillboy’s valuable Rook from the Queen on h5 and the bishop on d3!  Tillboy was in some hot water now as he played the very best move he could possibly make Nf5
. Slamm20 now had options he could snare the Rook on g6 for free which is absolutely winning or he could do what great players do which is when you see a good move , look for an even better move which is what Slamm20 aka the black panther did!  He applied the coup de grace Bishop to c4 check
!  This is a crushing move because Tillboy must block the check on his King with his Queen
which ultimately means his Queen much like this game is done!  Eleven moves later the Wakandian checkmated Tillboy on his 51st move of the game
. A great victory for Slamm20 allowing him to jump from 6th to 5th place in the tournament.

He now has a total of 11.5 points with seven games remaining in the tournament. The loss leaves Tillboy with a total of 16.5 points. He has now completed all 22 games of his tournament so he finishes with 16.5 points. I don’t think that’s going to be enough to hold off the rampaging Ydtd
