December Club Newsletter!

This month, we wanted to remind everyone that we will not be holding a quick tournament this month. We will be hosting casual meetups every Wednesday from 7pm - 9pm, EXCEPT on 12/25. We will not be meeting up on 12/25 this month.

Club Events:
- Weekly Casual Meetup: Bring a board or find an open seat for free, casual games of chess! Perfect for beginners and club players to play and practice.

• When: Every Wednesday from 7pm – 9pm;

- (12/17) Chess.com G/10+2 Tournament: Join us at 7pm on Chess.com for our monthly online quick tournament! More details and registration: https://www.chess.com/play/tournament/5266151 
(Registration starts at 6pm MST the day of the event.)

UCA & Community Events:
- (12/14) Holiday Team Championship 4! - Play in a two-player, USCF-rated, team event! Start in the a G/45+10 Open section and play your way to the Finals in a double-round blitz game for a chance to win $350 (based on 32 entries)! Link: https://utahchess.com/event/holiday-team-championships-4/ 

- (12/6 & 12/20) SLC Chess Club: come out from 3pm - 6p to The City Library in downtown SLC for some free casual chess. Chess sets are provided! More details:  https://www.chess.com/club/slc-chess-club-1
