Devils Rejects Ladder is up and running...

We've just started playing some ladder games and already people are saying how much they enjoy the format....

It really is a great way to help improve your 'live chess skills'. If you are like me, then you may have found you make too many quick, poor decisions playing live under that time pressure and this is a good way to get used to that without affecting your rating as games are 'unrated'.

It has a competitive edge as you try to get to the top of the ladder. It's not however like a league where your poor scores are on show for all to see. It's not like a normal tournament where you get knocked out. If you lose and go down the ladder you just try and go back up the next time you play. It takes a little getting used to but once you get it it's easy and fun to play.

There are 5 of us atm and what we need is a few more players (10 would be ideal) just to have a few more options of who to play. I think this would suit any player between 900-1300 who is looking to improve and have some laid back games with others in the group of a similar ability.

So if you fancy giving it a go sign up in the thread in the forums or post on my wall. Any questions please ask. Remember you can leave the ladder at any time, it's not a life sentence..Smile

Hope to meet you and play a few nice games.

Thanks for your time
