DHLC Tourney Update: Still Figuring it Out

Greetings!  If you've been following our tournament schedule carefully you would notice that . . . we don't have a set schedule. There is nothing "regular" yet -- we are still experimenting with various times of the day, and with different section cut-offs, while we collect data and figure out patterns. (We've noticed, for example, that most of our cancelled tournaments occur between midnight and noon, ET).

In the meantime, we are thrilled with the participation. Since last Monday, we've had over 20 tournaments (including 6 with 8 or more participants)! We've had players over 2000, under 500, and everybody in between. (Please note: if you are a strong player and are bored of playing lower ranked folks, or even more so, if you are lower ranked and tired of getting beaten by strong players -- please stick with us as we figure sections out. We will continue to experiment).

We have been reading your comments. I noticed there was one suggesting an unrated tournament, and another asking for 45/45 games. What do you think about those?  What about a 3 round tourney on a Saturday or Sunday?
