Dice Chess Tournament TONIGHT! Check in by 7:15, 1st Round at 7:30!

Hey PPCC Folks,

Tonight is our Dice Chess tournament!  The tournament sign-in ends at 7:15PM, and we'll start the first round at 7:30PM!  I'm super excited for this fun variant, and I hope all of y'all will come pack HasenStuble for the shenanigans.  Check out the details below on how to sign up, a quick rundown of the rules, and the time format for the tournament.  As always, our tournaments are free, and you'll be playing for a wonderful trophy plus eternal bragging rights.

How to Sign-Up

You can sign-up right now by click on this link and filling out the short google form: https://forms.gle/o2t2F4KiGRu3zbC88.  If you're not sure if you'll be able to play, you can still sign up at the club in person - just make sure you show up by 7:15pm and check in with the TD!

Rules

Here's a link to my last announcement, which explains the rules of Dice Chess with a few diagrams/examples: https://www.chess.com/announcements/view/dice-chess-tournament-on-may-28-2024.  We'll also go over the rules before the tournament starts, so if you haven't gotten a chance to play this variant yet, make sure you show up a bit early to get an in-person tutorial.

Format

The tournament format will be a 7 round swiss style tournament, and the time format for the games is 5 minutes with a 2 second delay.  Keep in mind that your time includes the time it takes to roll the dice, so stay out of a time crunch if you can help it .
