Edinburgh Allegro League
The final game of the Edinburgh Allegro League was played last night, and Badgers Brook came within half a board point of first place. Four of the five teams in contention, including Badgers Brook lost their final game 1.5 -2.5. This meant that Corstorphine held onto their slim half point lead to win the competion as outright winners.
Three teams were tied on board points for second place, with Wandering Donkins being awarded second place as they had won the head to head games against the two other contenders. Badgers Brook finished in third place.
It was a exciting climax to a very enjoyable and competive competition.
