February Fixtures
The Yorkshire Cup fixtures for February are as follows:
Sheffield vs Leeds
Bradford vs York
Bradford will find a challenge from York. Can either Sheffield or Leeds get the other match going, please? Matches to start in the first week of February, and full match setup rules are below.
Match settings (refer to here when setting up a match)
- Matches should start in the first week of the month. Include the start date in the match settings so that it starts automatically. Registration should be opened for these matches at least two weeks before the start date.
- The minimum number of players for each match is 3. If a team fails to reach 3 players by the start date, they will have 1 extra week to find the required players. If they fail to do so in the extra week, their opponent can claim victory or agree to play as normal.
- The match name should be in following format: ‘Yorkshire Cup 2020 RX, Team vs Team,’ where X represents the round number (1, 2, or 3).
- The description should include a link to the Yorkshire Cup group (https://www.chess.com/club/yorkshire-cup) to make it easy for participants to follow the competition.
- Matches must use the following settings:
- Standard chess
- 3 Days per Move
- 2 concurrent games per player
- No minimum or maximum rating
- No minimum games
