FINAL MATCH (non playoffs) vs. San Gabriel Valley Chess Club

Hi, everyone, our final round match is set for Saturday @ 12:00 PM (1:15 blitz), against San Gabriel Valley Chess Club, whom we played in the preseason. We're currently sitting in 23rd place, with an outside shot of making the playoffs in the top 16.

You may notice that this is an unusual announcement because this is not a headcount. I do want to say I normally dislike "asking players to sit out", I want this to be more about having fun as a team rather than doing what it takes to win. But, just for this week, to optimize our winning chances, I'd like for "non higher rated players" to sit out. We'll have the best chance of defeating San Gabriel Valley Chess Club if I give them our five best players (min to avoid a forfeit). Keep in mind, we have to win both rapid and blitz for that playoff prayer. Another match tie will not do

I did message those individuals who I specifically want to play. So you know who you are  I really appreciate your understanding on this. I love having you all on the team, and I would be very happy if you joined us for the playoffs, if we can make it!

In the meantime, I'd be happy to organize some practice tournament among us, maybe Thursday or Friday. Both for those who are sitting out, and those playing, to get some extra 15|2 practice. Let me know your interest
