Fireworks Blitz and Pawn Storm #14

The Sacramento Pawns club will celebrate the socially distant edition of Independence Day by playing online chess. On Friday night debuts the Fireworks Blitz starting at 7:30 PM. This special event is scheduled for 10 rounds of G/5 + inc/1 blitz madness and, unofficially, it replaces the annual club blitz championship. Call up your friends! Mister Karas, where are you? 

On Saturday afternoon, the club continues the weekly tradition of the Pawn Storm, kicking off at 3:00 PM as usual. There will be no Kids & Amateurs tournament this week.

Sac Fireworks Blitz

When: Friday, July 3 from 7:30 to 9:30 PM
Who: Open to all club members
Format: TEN (10) ROUND Swiss in one section (need minimum 20 players)
Time control: G/5 + 1 second increment

When: Saturday, July 4 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM
Who: Open to all club members regardless of rating
Format: FIVE (5) ROUND Swiss in one section

Where: Live Server under the Tournaments tab at the upper right 
Time control: G/10 + 3 second increment 
Minimum: Need at least 4 players to avoid automatic cancellation
USCF Rated: No  
Entry: Free 
Prizes: Glory and Chess.com rating points
